Michael Townsend Williams is an experienced yoga teacher who offers classes in classical
Hatha Yoga in London and the Bath area.
 
He also leads workshops and retreats in all aspects of yoga.
 
His teaching is rooted in traditional yoga and integrates work on the breath (pranayama), relaxation (savasana), physical excercises (asana) and meditation (dhyana).
He works with individuals and groups in open classes, at peoples' homes and in the workplace.
He teaches men and women of all ages and levels from complete beginners to the more advanced.
 
All the major systems of the body benefit from regular Hatha Yoga practice - through stretching and breath work the spine strengthens and becomes more flexible, muscles become more supple, digestion and circulation improve,the nerves calm. Yoga has the effect of balancing the hormones and reducing stress levels, leading to a general feeling of well-being and calm.
